We plan on insulating our cavity with the bead insulation. Our stove pipes are running through a cavity wall and as the bead is combustible, is this safe?

I assume your reference to running through the cavity means that the flue crosses the cavity horizontally(bridging the cavity) at one point. If this is the case an insulated liner should be provided at the crossing point which will address the issue. An important thing to note with bonded bead insulation is any wiring either in the cavity or bridging the cavity needs to be protected by protective sheating/ducting.

Thanks archtech. It's pipes from the stove that are running from the stove, through the cavity to the hot press.

So you are talking about pipes passing through an internal wall or are you saying that you have pipes running "in" the cavity to get from 1 part of the house to another?

It's pipes from the stove running in the cavity to get from one part of the house to another as our living room is built onto the side of the house(external wall).

So you are concerned about hot water pipes being a fire risk?

If that's the case I think you're ok.

I'd be more concerned that those pipes could be meandering through that cavity losing heat to outside and possibly at risk of freezing.

Pretty sure he covered that in post 3. It appears to be hot water pipes given that it's through the cavity to a hotpress.

thanks sas, yeah i should have picked that up ;)

Theres certainly no fire rick IMHO, but no harm in insulating them anyway.

Polystyrene melts around 240 degrees celsius.
