I might need to get 400kg worth of steel out of Limerick this Sunday and back to Dublin.

6x 8ft/2500mm steel tube sections will be the biggest and most difficult part to move.

Anyone got a van/trailer that would handle it? And free on Sunday?!

There's 100% lunch in it for ya and I'm sure we can work something out with a couple of hundred euros worth of gym membership too...

    Thaaaaanks :D

Will 8ft fit in the back on a LWB transit?

    What gym out of interest.

I've not got a van for the record.

If you go on a truck as in pallets they'd charge for 2 pallets/deck spaces which actually might not be so bad @ £100/€125.

You'd rent a van a bit cheaper than that think I got a transit size for about €100 not so long ago however the juice to limerick and tolls would add a fair whack.

H if you get no luck pm me and I will give you the details of a decent courier - not sure if they collect on a sunday but worth calling them.

I think it would fit in a transit if you angled it right yah!

The gym is my gym :D

Is that courier cost per pallet or total? €125 wouldn't be too bad I guess. Would prefer to do it for free tho obviously!! :D

Yah renting a van doesn't look viable financially, especially since it's going to cost me a day that I just don't have at the moment on top of everything else. Courier could be the way forward. Gary's getting back to me with deets of the guys he uses to ship to Eurpore, hopefully they can get it to Dublin for a reasonable price.

Never heard of MY GYM? :D
    Where is it, any pictures?

The cost was a guide for the job.

Pallet rates vary a lot but you can get rates of £45 for a pallet to Kerry for example on just one.

Gary must know someone down there going to Dublin etc who could take it with them plus it saves you loading the stuff!

I'd say it would all comfortably fit in a LWB transit.
I put a euro pallet 1.2m x.8m into the back of a passat last night - the car sunk a bit with the weight of the paint -(200kg or so) but 1.2m was fine with seats down.

Had to be careful mind as the boot lid sticks
out a bit - I think I had about 1cm of space between reach truck and boot lid - reach truck is only 2 tonnes or so!:D

    Keep us upated H.

    Hopefully Gary has someone!

I'd about 200kg worth of KBs and other stuff in the back of my Corolla the other day. Poor car was sitting on the floor.

You can follow renovations here. I won't say any more in this thread as I don't want to take the p!ss re: advertising etc, but I'll be updating my sig and all that jazz over the weekend to reflect what's going on :) If anyone wants deets or anything between now and then, just drop me a PM.
