I was thinking about picking up one of these, Just wondering if anyone has experience of the HD version, file sizes, "fluidity", low-light ability. What are the competitors and is there anything superior in the same price range? I read through the dashcam thread but didn't see a whole lot on the Smartcam-2. Is there any point in getting something like a Road Hawk over the smartcam?
    Cheers

How do you find the cam/holder sits on the windscreen? from the vid it seems to appear large? I was hoping for it to hide behind the rear view mirror?

    Thanks

sorry to dig up an old thread. But I wanted to know do people actually use Dashcams in Ireland?

I've seen loads of those Russian videos with the dashcams, but as there are so many crazy drivers there and a lot of litigious drivers/pedestrians, I would understand why they would have them installed.

I've been thinking about getting one of these. Do they have built in battery or
can it be wired into the car behind the rear view mirror ?
