    Can see myself doing this a lot over the next while. The low block puts me in the proper position that I seem to miss when I lift off the floor. Could really feel my back working, which is a good sign.

  • Leinster Open:

    Weighed in at 86.5 which is a kilo down on what my own scales was telling me.

    Snatch: 80, 84, 88x
    Clean and Jerk: 105, 110, 120x

    Didn't peak specifically for this comp but I'm fairly disappointed with that. Snatches and jerks felt ok but my cleans felt very heavy. Stupid jump on the last clean, would have probably got 115 if I had of gone for that instead but decided on a hail mary attempt instead.

    Disappointing comp from numbers point of view but it at least gives me an idea on what I need to work on. If nothing else it gave me a big kick up the arse. I want 95/125 by the end of the year. Will start logging here again from tomorrow.

    First training session since last Wednesday due to being sick, not sure what it was but I felt terrible. Feeling good again today though. New program starting from today. Main goals will be to hit some decent weights in the power variations and hopefully develop something akin to mediocre technique in the snatch.




  • Still training but haven't logged as my laptop is on the blink and life is too short to type out workouts on a touchscreen. Pull strength has started to reappear which is nice.




  • May start logging again in the new year. Training is going well joined Hercs at the start of November after a brief stint in Refugees. Currently have my eye on the club championships which will hopefully be at the end of January. No idea what numbers I will be capable of but my training weights are as heavy as they've ever been so hopefully I'll manage some PBs.
