Best means of commuting to Inchicore from Swords

Hi

I have to get from Swords, Dublin North to One Kilmainham Square, Inchicore tomorrow and am hoping somebody that commutes there from North County Dublin could guide me in the quickest / cost effective means of getting there either by bus or train

Basically take one of the buses from Swords into town and then the Red Luas across.

The Swords Express would be faster but more expensive, the 41 cheaper but slower.

If you could get a 41x into town, that would be quicker than the 41 (the fare is slightly more). However, there are not too many of them. http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/41x1/

The 41[abc]s and 13s seem to share some stops on the way into town. Using something like a travel 90, you could switch to a 13 at some point, and get that bus to the library on Bulfin Rd., Inchicore. You then have a 2 minute walk to Amazon???

And thank you guys that is perfect! I think the 13 bus route sounds like the quickest way for me to get there as I can get it straight from O'Connell St

If you're changing in O'Connell St, you could also get a 40 which will leave you at the same stop on Bulfin Rd, or a 123 and get off at the first stop after turning on to Suir Road (3-4 minutes walk).

41/41x do not stop on O'Connell St (least the 41x does not)

I have to take this route fairly often and get the 41x then the Luas from Abbey St.

Might as well give an update on this.

I got as far as O'Connell street this morning, no luck on seeing any of the buses mentioned (possibly bad timing) so I proceeded to walk across O'Connell bridge and keep to the side of the road where I thought the bus was to drive alongside the liffey and hope one would drive up a long that I could get on. 3km later and arrived at my destination 5 minutes late

Ah dude, the aforementioned buses go up Thomas St., the 69 and 79 (both few and far between) go along the South Quays. We should have just put you on a Luas!!! Hope your visit went well never the less
