    Hey,

I have my bike a year now and had it serviced once by the lbs.

What should/could I be doing to look after my bike myself?
    Cleaning, greasing, ...

I've no idea what to do and how often to do it when it comes to maintenance of the bike.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Youtube is your friend, look up cleaning and oiling the chain. There's also plenty of videos on tightening brake cables and adjusting front and rear gears. Watch as many as you can! Also, regularly pumping your tires to the correct pressure is a good habit to get into.

thanks, I check tire pressure before every spin anyway.

on the point of tires, do you leave them fully inflated(110psi) after a spin or let a bit out?

Deflate them completely if you like :D. No reason to do anything other than check the tyre pressure before you head out for a spin
