    Hi Folks,

I was part of the orginal trial for DVB-T here. Haven't followed things though but believe saorview to be MPEG4 rendering this box useless?

Any use for this box in this country?

    Thanks,
    Mark

No use. It's got too slow a system. The so called "trial" was political window dressing to sell a Pay TV licence for DTT. Nothing to do with the real DTT rollout or RTE NL tests. Nor was that Trial the original. The Original trials were in 1999 / 2000! The RTE NL initial MPEG4 tests were later.

It's got a number of compatibility issues that can't be resolved.

They are MPEG4 Boxes but the last time I checked they decode the video, but its all over the shop. As watty says the processor I guess is too slow.

    Check yourself with an aerial.
