Explain the gears in a Fiat 110 90

    Can some one explain the 2 gear levers in the fiat 110..

    you have the gear change leve, forward gears and reverse, but then you have another gear lever that as I, II,III on it...
    Can some one explain what this is please?

    The roman numerals are the different ranges in the gearbox I=low, II=medium, III=high.

    Can also be a another range for creeper.

    Great tractor let down by no shuttle - even a clutched one.
