Watch out for flywheel, my other halfs dad had to replace his after small mileage and a very easy life.

I have had 3pajeros first was a 1992 2.5 manual jap import, had it for over a year and put new clutch nd solid flywheel in it. Second was a 2001 2.5 manual same engine as the 92 model bit more power out of it but an absolute lemon cost me a fortune, it blew a hole in the head from an overheating problem that i didnt notice as the temperature gauge on the dash was faulty. Also the super select 4WD needed 5 new sensors to put working right, thats only some of the crap i had with that heap.Changed to a 2005 3.2 auto and there is NO comparison between them the difference is night and day. Make sure the 4wd box selects all ranges, wheel bearings and its not overheating.Best of luck

Time unfortunately. Its just the way they are in most heavy 4x4's now (and some lighter ones). They tend to go around the 100k mile mark. Can be replaced with a solid version for less money that won't fail, but can be avoided totally by buying an automatic in the first place.
