Getting out!

Looking for peoples opinions on getting out of our house and moving nearer Family and work. We currently live in Kinnegad, bought the house 10 years ago as a starter home. We had planned to sell the house after a few years and move back toward Dublin. We had the house sold 3 times, but it fell through each time and then the economy crashed, so we have been stuck.

We are still looking to move back and are wondering what options we have apart for selling or renting. I personally don't want to rent, cause it might mean we would have to move back, yes we are not happy here. If we sell, we will still owe the bank. Walking away is not an option.

    Any suggestions welcome.

Legally and without handing over keys I don't know of any other option.
Would there be a family member who would rent the house from you?

How much are you talking about? Personal loan size, or not?

Bankrupt may be the only way out unless this new thing for helping the struggling home owners works out

Thanks for the replies, claiming bankrupt is not a option, we can pay the mortgage, just not happy where we are living. We have no problem in paying the mortgage back in full.

Guess we will have to see if the bank will let us sell and pay the negative equity back in a loan.

As for renting, to many stories about the houses being trashed, damage done etc.
