Sky Price Increase - September 1st

From September 1st 2012 there will be an increase on some packages, these are the price increases for the UK;

Sky Entertainment or Sky Entertainment Extra £1.50 more
Sky Sports (1 or 2) £0.50 more
Sky Sports Pack (1 and 2) £1.00 more
Sky Movies (1 or 2) No change
Sky Movies Pack (1 and 2) No change
HD Pack No change
Sky Multiroom No change

Extra Channels per month
ESPN £1.00 more
MUTV No change
Chelsea TV No change
Disney Cinemagic No change
MGM HD No change

They have a price freeze here in Ireland until august 31 2013 afaik.

From the Sky Ireland website;

Price Freeze: Price freeze applies to your current Sky monthly subscription prices until 2013 excluding offers, call rates, administrative charges, VAT changes and if you change your package.

Those increases apply to the UK only,we've a freeze for another year here in Ireland.

I guess these hikes are to help compensate for the stupid amounts of money spent on securing Premier League rights for the 3 seasons after next.
