Cycling to Park West?

    Hi guys

I've never posted on this forum before but I have a question. I'm due to start a new job in Park West next week. I live in Artane which is about 15-17km from my place of work. Now, for the first few weeks, I'm going to drive but the thought of spending that long in a car just seems so wasteful to me so I'm seriously considering if cycling might be possible.

I used to be an avid biker and I am still quite physically fit but I'm just wondering if such a distance is a bit ambitious. Does anyone else cycle such distances and if so, how long does it take?

I've started cycling to work every day. Started last Wednesday and it's been going fine. My trip is 12km and it takes me around 31 minutes to do (average speed 22kmph).

I cycle about 15k from Clondalkin to the city centre via the greenway every morning and evening. It takes about 40 mins depending on wind direction. The greenway is worth it for the scenery and for avoiding traffic.
