Offer 100 for the canyon fork.

Ouch that hurts, It cost 365, and it is still in the box.
But I guess it is worth what someone will pay for it.
Let me mull over it for a day.

The Fork in the add is gone.
I have another Canyon fork exact same model but it is used and has been cut to size so I don't know if it will fit your bike.
It came off a 54cm frame.
The frame was broken and couldn't be repaired.
The "rivets" that hold the bottle cage in place came away from the frame, canyon said it was over tightened and not repairable.
I sold off all the components but I still have the fork.
If your interested pm me your number.
I would let it go for 70, any lower then that I would just hang on to it as I bought another Canyon.
Let me know if your interested.

Is that a full carbon fork? Any dings/dents/scratches? Could you post a picture? What does it weigh? And, length of steerer, please.

Yes, it is full carbon, the same as the one previously for sale.
    Canyon One One four SL.

I will measure the steerer and try and get a pic up for you.
    you know its a 1 1/4 inch?

    I think it is 300g.

Have you still got the damaged Canyon frame? I am looking for a medium frame to build up as a dedicated turbo bike.

No I don't have it. I sent it back to canyon to be assessed(I took the fork off before sending it back).
I Didn't bother get the frame sent back to me, it would have been perfect for a turbo bike.
I was tempted to just keep riding it, but a couple of people who's opinion I trust advised me not to.

That sounds good to me I'll offer asking as long as the steerer has at least 240mm on it as measured from where the fork meets the head tube to the top of the steerer .

I recently got a bike fit and the steerer on the fork on my existing bike is a fraction too short :(

Is it a black fork?? Colour doesnt matter but White would be ideal:D

Sorry its black, the same as the one linked at the start of the thread.
I will measure the steerer tonight.

I thick they cut them all down to the same amount of spacers. I am not sure what you are going to do. There is not many options for 1 1/4inch forks. And the canyon ones are very expensive, I think I paid 360, you can nearly get a ultimate al frameset for that. I presume you considered fliping the stem?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 255 ✭✭markie379

I've flipped the stem and I'm about 1cm too low . It's the only measurement I'm out on. I wanted to try and get it as close to my other Bike as possible .

I tried canyon and the fork price is ridiculous .I might look at updating the frame maybe...
    :D

If you have a CI race licence you can get a few quid of a new frame from Canyon, good luck!

One last thought, you could look for a stem with a different angle, again though there isn't much choice in 1 1/4 inch.
