Just to clarify, is it the window on the drivers side that isn't working? Or that you can't control the passenger window from the drivers side?

Here's the 2 switches on the door - drivers side .

Left switch works the passenger window and the right switch works the drivers window .

Left one is working fine , but right one is not working .

Few days ago , the left switch did work to open/close the window at drivers side , which we found unusual.

Car is due NCT soon and is this checked ?

But the passenger side switch was working the drivers window?

Check the wiring between the car and the door, could be faulty switches too.

I think its more likely to be faulty switch ...........can this be easily replaced ?

I'm no car expert, but I had a similar problem with the Renault Megane. It was caused by water which got into the circuitry for controlling the window's motor and blew a capacitor. So you may want to check the motor circuitry as well as the button.

Well , we rang the main dealers today and they have a switch in stock - €27.

Anyone tell us how the switch is held in / taken off ?

I'd assume you just yank the whole panel up.

Are you getting both switches with it? If the passenger switch opened the wrong window then I hope the whole thing comes as a unit
