21km to go. The peloton are on the circuits of the Champs Élysées.
Sky, Green-edge, and Liquigas are leading the peloton. 11 riders are in a breakaway and have a 25 second lead.

Nah Jens voigt is going to stay away

Unless Cav drops a chain I can only see it being him.
Think Sagan may be up there and Greipl too. Goss hasn't really been great even though he 3rd

Would think so as well. Looks like Sagen is trying to up set the party though.

Big gap though to the front 11. Thought I seen Nico again in it, dont know why I keep thinking he is wearing 77.

yeh just saw that, cav said get me to the corner first, fair play, thought they had c**cked that up with that

Cav went very early, was surprised to see that he managed to go all the way. They were going fairly fast around the last bend though.

Great finish to TDF 2012 nearly did not get to see UPC Cable TV crashed with 3km to go

Was half expecting a crash into the barriers with the speed they took it at.

Eurosport said they were doing around 60km/h around that last bend.

A very long sprint, the most impressive I've seen on this year's tour. Thought he was going to run out of gas in the last 100. Managed to hold of Greipl at the end. Chapeau Cav!

Sorry for going off topic but.....

Is wiggins in the Olympic team?
If so why are medal hopes only on cavendish?

I obviously don't know anything about cycling but I would have thought if you win the tour de France you would be a favourite for the next big race.

    The team ^^^

Wiggins may be favourite for the next big tour which he enters. For the Olympic Road Race, Cavendish will be the man they want to finish it in first place with a sprint to the finish. They will all work as a team up until the last few hundred meters. cavendish will be the man to power towards the finishing line, competing against the sprinters from other teams.

Olympics is one race, compared to the TDF being a grand tour and contested over 20 stages, including time trail, climbing, and the sprint finishes.

I'm assuming after yesterday though Wiggo will be included for the time trail and a favourite for it.

Sagan would have won that sprint if the lotto rider in front of him hadn't let the wheel go out of the last corner.

Not greipel. He was way back in eight.

TBH Cav was almost pulling away at the line. Considering how far out he went it was very impressive - add that to Friday's performance and it's clear that no-one can get near him if he has the right position coming into the sprint

Well done Wiggins, its bound to help cycling in Britain and have some knock on effects here in Ireland.

The tour I watched seemed more about development than entertainment. Next year sees ?Contador? back and maybe that will bring a more competitive race.

Cars are a waste of time and we really could do with having lots more cyclists both competitive and exercise.

Yeah, great finish - lovely to see the yellow jersey on the front with 1km to go. I know that the Sky boys aren't the most loved team in the world, but I get the impression that they (Wiggins and Cav in particular) genuinely care about the jerseys they're wearing and want to do them justice. Great finish from a long way out from Cav, but I don't think he'll go as early if he makes it to the Olympic finish. It's a lot easier make a long one stick when you haven't done any work for the last 3 weeks and you're competing against guys who pushed themselves a lot more on the hillier stages. (Sagan must have been completely "on de limit" today)

I see The Badger got to do a bit of bouncing on the podium again yesterday:

And I loved Wiggins' reaction to Lesley Garrett's rendition of God Save The Queen:
