You'd want to be careful with that one, it uses vtec jettas as fuel. Not too common, so refills might be an issue :pac:

Tiny pics, parked on the grass, yellow reg in the rear..."MISER"... red flags going up everywhere.

what is it? "Vauxhall Opel a4 Audi BMW 320d golf"

If it will "fly test" why doesnt seller get it tested and ask more for it?

obviously i wouldn't be fooled by being told that the 1.9 CDTi was the best engine in that line up, the most powerful perhaps but not the "best". i'm also open to correction but i thought they were chain driven engines?

if he has paperwork to back up the clutch and flywheel job i wouldn't be too afraid of that car.

i also get a vibe from that advert that its not VRT'd or NCT'd which isn't the best, and then it will have to be taxed too. so factoring that in i'd be adding another 1500 minimum onto the cost price.

you could probably pick up an already irish sri for that kind of money.

had a 03 vectra this year with the older 2.0 td engine, loved it, massive comfort and masses of kit. they are a very underrated car, lovely on the motorway and feels like its built like a brick ****house. imo certainly better than a 04 passat and for half the price.

I think a lot of your opinions on this forum. Anyone like to share their views on this before I arrange a viewing?

    seems a bit cheap there.

too good to be true maybe ?

would need a NCT too when it hits the VRT also. (if your in the republic that is)

i'd just say do a reg check and bring a mechanic lad type friend.

thats about all a good spec 04 diesel vectra is worth.

vectras dont seem to hold value well at all.

Thanks guys. Interesting point there, why would you regard a car being parked on grass as raising a red flag when reading an advert?

the way is build that ad would keep me away , dont know why, but i have feelings, that similar sellers, with incorrect filled fields trying sell car as soon as possible, and get lost. Small pictures also no good, as even cheapest phone make way bigger pictures, so they re-sized with purpose .
    A specially " L@@K " thing put me away.

If you really after that car, get mechanic or get car checked in garage.

I always shudder when i hear crap like this...

"I have just spent 500 euro on it today! I got it serviced, brake pads, timing belt and water pump all done on it today!"

He did in his hole spend 500 on the car in the past day, prob a little scrote..find another Vectra..

Had a 05 one of these. Great car but the DMF and the swirl valve issue can mean big repair bills if they go. Wouldn't bother with that one if its had no test and no service history for the past 30k miles

very simple way of deciding on this. Google his moblie number. He's a trader/breaker by the looks of it. He is all over Gumtree with tyres/alloys/body parts etc. Attempting to pass this motor off as his own with loads of work done is a scam IMO. Secondly he is selling a car he hasn't bothered to VRT. This would say to me that he knows the VRT is done with the NCT and as such he is not confident it will get through. I dont want to suggest it a cut & shut but it may be a cat C from the north.

AVOID LIKE EX GIRLFRIEND WITH DEPENDENCY ISSUES.

Pretty confident they have a timing belt.

3k plus vrt too dear. I sold an Irish 05 one recently for 4850 straight sale and gave warranty.

The seller says he has a history up to 110000. What's on it now?
