I have been speaking to someone who is signing the praises of websites like <snip> where you can stream contemporary films, TV shows etc and/or download them to realplayer.
Two questions -- especially with respect to downloading as opposed to streaming:
    Is this legal?
Is there a risk of viruses/malware?

The site you mentioned is illegal, yes. If you want to stream films you are pretty much limited to Netflix.

I'm locking this now as discussion of where/how to obtain pirated content is against the charter.
