Soccer players are constantly being accused of being overpaid

They are employees of multi million euro generating companies and with the

(Robbie Keene seems to get this constantly)

Why are other professions not accused of this?

Say our own Westlife. Pretty much glorified karaoke singers.
Why are they not accused of this?

Formula one drivers. Huge, huge pay packets. No great outcry

If were being paid 5 milion pound a year, would you say to your employer that is too much?

they are paid the value of a new sports car like a ferarri a week! its so wasteful when they could create more jobs/positions within the FAI

Soccer players a paid what they're economic worth is. From an amoral perspective their economic worth is determined by the revenue they generate for their employer coupled with the fact that they're a unique commodity and very few people can do what they do.

And that they retire nearly 30 years earlier.

Why/how would the English and european privately owned clubs create jobs within the fai??

Noone in the LOI gets paid anything close to what premiership and la liga players are paid!

Indeed, and a short career that can be cut even shorter through injury.

Soccer is a private corporation really. It's not public taxes that pay it. I agree they're overpaid.

Some soccer players are overpaid. However there are a hell of a lot more players in the lower divisions earning average enough money who'll have to work as a postman or van driver when they retire in their 30s than there are on €100k a week.

The wages of some players are fcuking ridiculous. A small country could probably be comfortably ran on Manchester City's wage bill.
