Very much looking forward to this looks a very good Clare team on paper with a lot of senior panellists. Have been flying at minor recently. Waterford have been going well at minor level aswell in recent years but have been very poor at this grade.

    Waterford -- S O'Keeffe; J Barron, S O'Keeffe, M Wyse; R Barry, P Mahony, E Madigan; P Prendergast, J Dillon; G O'Brien, E Murphy, M O'Neill; F Murray, P Mahony, B O'Halloran.

    Clare- R Taaffe; P Flanagan, D McInerney, K Ryan; P O'Connor, C Ryan, S Morey; C Galvin, S Golden; T Kelly, P Collins, A Cunningham; D O'Halloran, C McGrath, C O'Connell.

The two Mahony's and O'Halloran are pivotal for Waterford. Clare have no fewer than 7 senior players featuring in a star studded line up. Seadhna Morey, Tony Kelly (both minors last year), Pat O'Connor (in a remarkable 4th consecutive year at this grade!), Aaron Cunningham, Colm Galvin and of course the phenomenal captain Conor McGrath are the main men and are all mighty hurlers in their own right. Really hard to look past a Clare win but as Tipperary showed last night, a good team on paper can count for nothing.

On a side note I notice there is no Cathal McInerney for Clare, dropped I assume (been going very poorly recently). What a fall from grace in a 12 month period after being a great senior player last year!

S O'Keeffe is a great full back expecting a great game from him.

Come on Waterford get into it. Clare playing with way more intensity we just seem to be standing off them the whole time

Dont think playing into the sun is helping Waterford 1-11 0-4

Mcgrath and O'Halloran are ripping them apart. Hopefully things will be a bit closer for the second half!

    Only tuning in now - WOW - that's a real hammering, 2-16 to a miserable 5pts!
    Didn't see that coming.

Clare are an excellent side and we could be up against it to win Munster. But Waterford are poor enough. No intensity whatsoever. Hard to believe a team managed by Fergal Hartley could play with such little intensity.

Got whisked off to play soccer. Do Clare look the part? I guess we'll know more after Munster final (or AI semi whichever you prefer ;))

It's going to be very competitive this year!

Ah Clare look the part no doubt about it. But Waterford accommodated them as much as Laois accommodated Kilkenny last week.

Tipp - Clare - Kilkenny - Galway... going to be a hell of a finish no doubt.

Aye my only worry about Galway is that we've so many senior panellists we may not be concentrating half enough on the under 21 (same management aswell).

Done Tipp no harm two years ago and if anyone has a plan to manage both teams its Cunningham. You'd wonder where he himself gets all the energy from
