Been there, done that, ruined a couple of pairs of jeans before learning that the best time to wave bleachy toilet brushes around is when you are just about to go into the shower - no clothes to spoil and any skin splashes will be quickly showered off!

I have tried 'inking' the patches but it does not work. Any other suggestions would be of interest to me too.

I think you will have to dye them - you will probably have to remove the color in the rest of the fabric first so that the new dye will blend in. Here's a wbsite that might help http://www.ritdye.com/
You might want to ask them:)

Try washing them with darker jeans if you have them. Some of the darker colour should transfer. Otherwise use a weak blue dye solution I'd say.

Spread them out (outside) and splash more bleach and/or dye all over (while wearing protective clothing!) to give you a random splatter design.

If you just dye them (or wash with darker jeans),the bleached areas will still show through so you'll need to bleach completely before dyeing, or use a colour remover from Dylon or Rit.

great i will try the colour remover. I was afraid that bleaching them would damage the fabric. Thanks for advice. I will check the attached website as well. Tried to attach a pic but not sure it worked. The image is big, if they can be viewed they were wet and are a light brown colour, looks like they will end up yellow!! nice!!:o

    Thanks all!!!
