The best furniture/decoration shops in Dublin

I am not originally from Ireland and we have just recently moved to a new apartment and I am looking forward to decorating it.

I have obviously been to Ikea and Harvey Norman but as I don't want our home to look like from an Ikea cataloque, I am also interested in visiting other furniture stores but I am not sure where to go.

I am interested in nice, modern looking furniture, not only heavy old looking stuff. Nothing too expensive but I am obviously ready to pay more than I'd pay in Ikea.

What are the best shops to visit and where are they? We live in Portmarnock.

Small shops, bigger ones. Decoration shops, furniture shops.

    Thanks in advance,

at the upper end of the scale in dublin is helen turkington, global village or minnie peters.
Just outside dublin is lorna o growney, she supplies alot from www.coachhouse.com (which has a great comtempory furniture collection, really well priced) and www.eichholtz.com (a little higher priced stuff). i think she has opened a showroom recently, but when i worked with her she came to my house and presented a whole bunch of ideas at different price levels based on what i said i liked. the service itself was free. www.lornaogrowney.com

Some more contemporary options would include.

    www.boconcept.ie
    www.montana.ie
    www.bushellinteriors.com

I've only bought from bushells so far. I will (budget permitting) be buying a sofa from boconcept too.
