2012 Subbies System (Interim refunds)

    Just wondering but how are everyone else advising clients on this.

    I notice that under the new system, no interim refund will be given for RCT owing to subcontractors.

    Are people advising clients to underpay VAT and PAYE in order for the money owing to be offset ?

    Havent offset any RCT yet for clients, but one client got an interim refund last week for a payment made earlier in the year. They didnt apply for the refund either, not sure why they got it, they havent followed it up yet...

    I haven't any much exposure to the new system but I suppose you could go down the offset route.

    Is there a strict rule on not releasing interim refunds now?

    Our construction clients have been very quiet for the last 36 months for some reason! :D
