Just wanted to let everyone know about this place that myself and the missus found out about recently.

Its called The Corn Store and its just up behind Charlestown Shopping Centre, just over the bridge beside the side of the M50.
They also have a store in Bluebell,South Dublin

The Corn Store sells all kinds of animals feeds and pet feeds too. They sell giant bags of sawdust, straw and hay...(also bales of hay too,as far as I know).

They also sell various bits and bobs for the gardener, plant food, fish foods and equipement, dog kennels, bird houses, rabbit hutches, chicken coops, chicken feeds and plastic feeders, horse riding gear and horse drawn traps and carriages too.

We got this 20kg bag of Guinea Pig Food for 25 euro.

A 2kg bag of this recently cost us 8 euro in a Pet Store not too far away.

So 25 euro for a 20 kilo bag is just fine by us.

PS-No link to this store, apart from being a happy customer.

    You sure?

Seems to be free, only when you purchase 50 euro or more worth of goods....Also add on the "paypal fees".

Dont think we might have been robbed, afterall.

    4. Prices and delivery costs

Within the Republic of Ireland, all prices are inclusive of any applicable carriage, postage and packaging if the total order value is in excess of E 50.00 Euros. For all orders less than EUR E 5.00we will charge an additional shipping fee of E 4.90 Euros. Looked like an average/typical bale of hay to me.:)

But with my old age,and squinty eyes.;)

Either way.......both these 2 shops are miles cheaper for the guinea pig food than the pet shops/stores.
The Corn Store is closer to us,so less petrol/money used to get there.

So its a win win here.:)

If you go through the checkout process delivery costs come up as €0.
Also the seller pays the paypal fees don't they? The price is still €21.99 to the customer.

But look at what it says in the "terms and conditions" with regards delievery costs....section 4.

    Its a tad confusing...I must admit that.

The 1 thing in our favour was/is that The Corn Store is just down the road from us,less petrol/money used to get there, and we got the stuff there and then,as we needed it there and then.No need to wait a day or 2 for it to be delievered.

Oh and the 2 young guinea pigs went nutts for the stuff too...(thank god).:D

Well you know where to get a proper bargain next time Paddy.

Don't be paying over the odds fella. The money is better off in your pocket than theirs.

It will still cost me more,by the time I add in the cost of petrol though, and also the extra time involved .;)

Come to think of it.......Is that place just an online shop though,or can you actually go out to them, pay in cash and collect there and then from their stores??

    Just for anyone interested.......

I phoned and also emailed this Pet Factory place this morning.
    Its an "online only" business.

That address on their website is only their business address in Kinsealy,so that people can see its an Irish company, according the chap Mark, that I spoke to.

Yet when I phoned the number,it was an international dial tone that I got,so this leads me to believe that this may not be an Irish company in Kinsealy at all???The chap is Irish allright, but dont know about the actual company though?

Delievery will be free, but only up till August too, accroding to Mark, and 80% of orders placed and paid for online before 2pm "should" be delieverd by the next working day. That is their aim anyway.

So there is no actual shop to go to.Its online only.

Sorry, but thats not for me,as I would prefer to go to an actual shop and buy in the flesh.

I do however wish this chap all the best with this Pet Factory business venture.:)
