Caddy radio reception

Just purchased a 2010 vw caddy just notice that radio reception seems very poor at times other times its grand and im talking about widely received stations like fm104 and 98fm fizzing. There is no aerial obviously its built in somewhere anybody know anything about them or why i'd be gettin poor reception cheers

Problems like this are usually due to a poor earth, either to the radio or the aerial itself (there must be one somewhere).

If your radio is black in colour and the display sits just above it then I am certain that the tuner module is faulty and needs to be replaced.

The aerial is part of the windscreen on those. If you look closely around the top left (passenger side), you should see the black lines in the glass.

The problem could be a replacement windscreen which wasn't installed correctly.

Forgot to mention there is a black sun visor tint cumin down on the top of the window would this be causing interference? It's just a black tint bout 8inches down from the top of the windscreen.

Just got a 2011 model of this van and having the same problem with the radio in my old vivaro the stations were perfect but some are very fuzzy now driving around the city where in the old can they were perfect
