Diet advice on strength programme

    Hey folks,

Looking for some advice on diet here for new programme I am starting out on. Basically got back into resistance training a couple of months ago and following a reasonably high protein / low carb diet lost about a stone of about two I needed to shed. Added some strength too but I presume a lot was just from improving technique, etc.

Now changing it up a bit and working on a programme to add strength and some bulk. Would like to continue to shed a few more kilos fat doing this, however, want to make sure I can reasonably maximise my gains. I guess this may be difficult if I'm on a calorie deficit? Appreciate any thoughts on the best approach here.

    Doc.

You'll never maximize gains of a deficit.

    Eat more to get bigger.
    Eat less to get smaller.
Keeping lifting and you be able to lift more over time.

Pick what ever is more important right now, and change when the other option becomes more important.

Ok, but if I accept that I may miss some gains while being careful with diet what are the best ways to minimise these loses. I.e. is eating alot after a workout key? What breakdown on macro nutrients and for how long after? What about just restricting intake on a non-training day?

Obviously someone could just eat way over minimum requirements while bulking and put on muscle and fat. I want to try and minimise the fat gain.
