    Hi,
I saw one of these on sale for 170 euro and was wondering would it work with saorview as I was looking for a good small one for my parents kitchen.

    Panasonic TX-L19D35EW

Manual below only in german unfortunately.

    manual

Page 106 seems to be the spec.

It mentions dvb-t with mpeg2 and mpeg4-avc h264 which I think means it would support hd on rte 2. It mentions mheg only to say it won't be recorded but see no other reference to it unfortunately.

    What do you think?
    Cheers,
    Crocked

Why not get a Saorview approved TV and not have to worry?

Mainly as I have a panasonic plasma and this tv also has similar smart tv functions which means you can stream from media centre to this for example. I also have a spare wireless dongle that would work with this.

I was searching the board and saw some people have had issues with some panasonics so this worries me a bit as it seems to be related to tuning changes somehow.

I had a look at the walker saorview tv but was not impressed at all as i seemed unresponsive but maybe there was something wrong with the setup as where I looked they really don't have a clue.

In terms of 19 Inch tvs there doesn't seem to be that much choice in terms of approved tvs so far so don't know if there is any recommended ones. The other tv brand I've bought in the past is samsung but my parents bought a samsung for their new main tv and it's not a bad tv other than for the sound quality which seemed very tinny to me.

22 inches is unfortunately already too big as it has to fit on a side board
