The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter, T.D., has welcomed today’s announcement by the Government that a total of €190m will be invested in a range of Garda and courts capital projects as well as a new laboratory for the State Pathologist.
The Government has approved the provision of three new Garda Divisional Headquarters for the Dublin South Central, Galway and Wexford Divisions. In addition the Government has approved court refurbishment developments in Cork, Mullingar and Waterford as well as new courts buildings in Drogheda, Letterkenny, Limerick and Wexford....

......Details of the approved Garda projects
Dublin South Central: The new Divisional Headquarters will be located at Kevin Street, Dublin 2. A site has already been acquired for the project.

Galway: The new Divisional Headquarters will also serve as the Garda Regional Headquarters for the Garda Western Region. A site has been procured.

Wexford: A site for the new Divisional headquarters has been secured.

Not sure about Galway and Wexford, but I know the Kevin Street station is bably needed. The plans for it look class!

Hoping a few new cars will be acquired too.....

The wexford site has had an OPW sign for this for years. Here's a street view of it from June 2009. It's badly needed at this stage.

Edit: Although I can't help but wonder whether the money would be better spent on recruitment and equipment for the Gardai

18k spent repairing a patrol car in a 18month period, when a new car costs 14k

.. why oh why do they keep pumping money into buckets of shyte

just reduce the mileage to 200,000km
the extra 100k is complete false economy

Just wondering will it be one of these PPP developments, whereby private money is used to develop and build such structures.

They have done so as we all know on the motorways, whereby you pay (unless you have a certain badge) at the tolls.

So if this is such a building, I am having images of those 20 cent coin locks on the front door of the building, just like the ones on the jax door.

The NMCI in ringaskiddy is a PPP. You should have a look at it before you criticise them.
