    Any NQT's manage to get a job?
    50 applications later and I have received one rejection.
    I was quite happy with the rejection because at least I can tick it off.

    Check out educationposts website. there is a forum and people say if they have heard it the jobs are gone or not!

    Lost count of how many applications I've sent off. Don't lose hope Geology! I know it'd be nice to have something sorted, but it's early yet.
    I've only heard of 3 people in my year that have a job already.
    Oddly enough, it is nice to get the rejection letter, just so you can forget about it.

    Keep applying. NQTs are getting jobs, I'm one of them myself (luckily).

    I would say that jobs in the Leinster area seem to be more open than in other places in the country. A lot of the jobs in the west/south seem to be gone before they're ever advertised. Unfortunately we can't be selective...

    Thanks for the responses. I know, I will keep trying; the more applications I send the greater the chance of an interview I suppose!

    I have got a few PFO emails, apart from that I haven't heard back from anything. I'm hoping the Teaching Council registration will come through early this week. I was thinking that schools ignored my applications because I didn't have confirmation/a number, they won't be able to do that now! :) Good luck with the hunt GeologyRocks, we'll all get something eventually. I have heard of 3 people in my class getting something, so there is hope!
