Do many people around here do them.

I had a few small ones for Cheltenham but that was it. I'm strongly considering to start backing Cristoforo Columbus for next year's Guineas. 33/1 at the moment, I can see him improving with real good ground

A few for Cheltenham with me too.

An odd one here and there only if I know for a fact that the horse will/does hold an entry and intends to run, although I've quickly come to learn that the ground can be a real party pooper on these ante-post bets.

Don't like them myself, had Sprinter Sacre doubled with Big Bucks last March.

I like laying ante post at times though, shorties.

Dawn Approach must be the greatest ante post lay should he move trainer at the end of the year. 8/1 for the Guineas at the minute

I back to lay on Betfair a good bit

Don't dip my toes as often with bookmakers these days as:
    1. There prices are usually shocking
    2. Most of it revolves around Cheltenham & the new races have made ante post a minefield as well as diluting the quality of the festival but that's another topic

Just took a gander at BF and there's barely any liquidity. 4 dollars at 33/1 and then barely anything.

Can't remember the last time I actually placed a bet on BF to be honest

Done a couple for the Melbourne Cup this year. Gatewood at 80s and Simenon at 90s. 3 quid on each.

I love a good antepost bet. Love it! Only if its a horse I enjoy burning money on though. For example Harlestone Times in the Ebor. Backed him last year and he never went a yard. I'm beginning to thing he needed another year and he's better on firmer ground. I've got a bit of cash set aside to burn on him.

I dont do them but Im thinking of doing one or two for the Arc.
Camelot is taking up alot of the market.
Im thinking of doing the new Japenese horse on the scene Ofreve.16/1 at the moment.

I was going to do one for the Arc but it's too oPen, yet I don think there is a whole lot of value at the same time. Galikova each way maybe.

Cristoforo Columbus was a non runner today. Hopefully I get back home to back him before he runs again and possibly has his price cut.

I won't be doing as much as previous years.

I have Nathaniel at 20s for Arc and will do Galikova before she runs again, was on her last year and she finished ahead of Danedream in their reappearence race this year

Had a few but none stand out bar the year I backed Albertas Run for the RSA chase at Cheltenham.

It was put up by someone on the attheraces site a few days before his run in the Reyonldstown that January. He was 33-1 and when he won that weekend he was down to 10's I think. Looking back on the race he was a comfortable winner but I was watching through my fingers as he was coming down the hill.

Biggest win on a single horse and as I say only ante-post bet that I can remember coming through.

I did well getting Zarkava at 7/1 for the Arc would have done better but couldn't get a frikkin price anywhere after her Prix Diane and had to wait til after her stunning Vermaille win to get 7's:mad:

Nothing will ever beat the 14's I had for Sea The Stars in the Arc, I fairly rowed into it but not as much as I would have liked as I was really concerned about October ground in France. Some day that, had the straight forecast, did the margin to win by 2l or more and Cavalryman just got in the way of the straight tricast
