I got a new Panasonisc FZ48 Bridge Camera.

The cant make head nor tale of the manual.

Is there any websites that help you on the way with specific cameras or getting started.

Most photos look the same to me weather I use automatic shooting or change the settings manually.

Also I am afraid to change setting incase I cant change them back and ruin the quaility of what I am currently shooting.

    Any ideas

Just googled it now. Loads of stuff on it. Check the reviews etc as a starting point.

Don't be afraid of the buttons - you can always change settings back, or flip back to automatic mode to "fix" it.

Look for a beginners guide to photography, if you are one. Local library, internet, bookshop, local camera club will all be great sources of info.

Best of luck with it. I'm sure you will enjoy using it.

Don't worry about it. Read it one page at a time.

There are a few. There is nothing particularly unusual about the Panasonic FZ.
General photography advice for other cameras will also apply to the FZ.

You are off to a good start then. The full auto modes on the Panasonic are quite
good. If you are already getting similar results using manual settings, you are
    doing very well.

Don't be afraid to experiment with settings. If you really screw things up, you can
always reset the camera to factory default settings.

Get it in the big Argos sale? :D Saw some good value on bridge cameras. I'm using a bridge myself, Fujifilm finepix s2980 that I got for a great price in Argos this year. Don't worry about getting the custom settings right, as already said by hbr; if you've been getting custom shots as good as pre sets then you're doing good. The best way to learn is just get out there and use it! Check out my photographs with a similar camera :Dwww.pix.ie/chriswoods

I suppose what I mean is I always use the automatic setting as there seems to be little difference.

I assume i need to start using the settings to up my standard of photos
