Is it possible to learn how to drive in 6 weeks?

    Well, is it? :pac:

I've been learning on and off for the best part of 7 years now, but for whatever reason, I never get over the line. I've had about 5 lessons in that time, driven about ten times on the open road (always avoiding roundabouts of course!:o), and been around the local business park about 5 times. There's a possibility that I'll be off abroad in early September, and I really want to get my licence by then.

So...can I do it? Yah or nay?

I think you can I never even sat behind a wheel until about 2 months ago first few time I thought I would neverrr be able to try but you get used to it practice about 2-3 times a weeks or even everyday up and down ur street because if I done it in like 4 weeks then u can do it lol

    Yes.

If you focus, and put the effort in absolutely. You've got to forget any fears or apprehensions and just go for it.

Start by booking a block of lessons with a good instructor. And try and get as much practise as possible.

Definitely. It will take some effort though.

Considering you can get a pilots licence within 3/4 weeks of intensive training I would imagine learning how to drive in 6 weeks could be done.

I had a friend go from never having sat behind the wheel of a car to passing the test in 4 weeks. He just about got it, I think he had 8 marks against him. But he did it all the same. Arguably not the best way to learn, but its certainly doable. Now he did it before the compulsory lessons, but all the same, it's very doable.

Completely doable. Just book an intensive set of lessons and find a way to get some extra practice in around that and it's plenty of time.

Of course you can, I started lessons this Febuary and passed mid march. It's a very very basic test. Had my provisional years and never bothered my ass to do the test but knew I had to do it before the new rules next year.

Thanks for the heads up, just recently sat the car driving test and will repeat in the near future. Wasn't sure if the rules applied to those who haven't sat a driving test and that there be different rules if having sat a test and not pass. Clears it up thanks Faith.
