Anyone who's been to any one of A-Skillz DJ gigs in Galway over the last few years will now just how adept he is at rocking a crowd. Anyone who saw Krafty Kuts last gig in Kellys will testify that he's just as talented when it comes to cutting and scratching up funky breaks and brining the ruckus do the dance floor. And anyone who saw their legendary back to back set at the Life festival 5 years ago will tell you that it's a damn shame that these two guys don't play together more often. Well for the first time ever in Galway city these two legends are going to join forces for a night of funk fueled fun.

These two guys first joined forces ten years ago to release the James Brown sampling party anthem Tricka Technology. The following year they released a whole album of funk and hip hop influenced breakbeat including collaborations with the likes of old school hip hop legend Kurtis Blow. Since then A-Skillz has gone from strength to strength winning Annie Mac's coveted mini mix of the year and being crowned Best DJ at the Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards. He's also released remixes of Jay-Z & Kanye West, James Brown, Fun Lovin Criminals, Queen, The Beatles and of course last years anthemic remix of Marlena Shaw's California Soul. Krafty Kuts has been in the game longer. He was releasing records on Fatboy Slim's label back in the late 90's. He's compiled mix CDs for Back To Mine, Fabric Live and Mixmag. He''s out out a succession of quality albums, singles and countless remixes and he's been voted Best DJ three years in a row at the Breakspoll Awards.

These two legends are going to be playing back to back on four decks in Kellys with support from Shack Up's Graham Dolan of Friday the 27th of July and admission is only €15. It's gonna be a good one.
