Storage Heating - alternatives

Our office is a big open plan area - old building - no insulation. 4 employees in this office with 4 storage heaters. Knobs on the heaters broke so no way to regulate them. With the summer we are having, we have to have some heat on for the morning - but then some afternoons, doors open to let out heat. This is very wasteful.

We've tried having little fan heaters for everyone but the noise is a big complaint and we don't know how these affect our esb bills. ESB bills are high with the storage heaters anyway.

Does anyone have any suggestions for heating a big office (nothing that requires major renovations!!) - just to keep it warm for employees sitting at desks. It's a big office - not many windows so it's always cold - galvanised roof.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

One of the best alternatives are Farho heaters. Excellent on-demand heat and economic to run.
