Tried to tag this query onto the ebay fakes thread but no replies.

I notice a few Invicta watches in auction on eBay at less than €125. These same models also appear on discount sites for $99 claiming RRPs of $595 etc.

What is the story with Invicta? Most look ghastly imo but I was bidding on more muted models.

Sounds like one of those brands you often see in the back of US magazines, where the "RRP" is a complete invention, just to claim huge warehouse discounts especially for you!!. They tend to be tat FB even at the "sale" price. IMH you'd be better off looking at a better known brand at a slight discount from the actual RRP and within your budget.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    Hi,

I don`t think the indicated RRP is the real RRP. Can`t imagine who would buy that watch for that price. It sounds like a marketing gimmick to me. But if you like the watch buy it. Invicta is know for `borrowing` design elements from other makers, but their quality is OK. probably Myota movements.

Check this link, there is a few lines about their history...
