    Aldi €4.95
    Superquinn €23.00 or so...

People shouldn't get distracted by broadcastman's post.
The thread will just end up going off topic.

dfbemt's posts have been found to be extremely useful and thanked by many people.
Anyway everyone has the opportunity to check the quality before they buy. I certainly haven't found anything to be of lesser quality

Superquinn went under last year ;)

The Musgrave group bought Superquinn for a pittance and is keeping it running. For now at least...

The nectarines in Aldi are savage. Where in Ireland are they growing nectarines?

Also got the salad potatoes, red onions and mushrooms for a grand total of €1.80.

In fairness to Aldi, they do support a lot of Irish suppliers/growers.
