Only being browsing this site recently and doesn't look to professional in it's layout.

Option to log in but none to Register.

Browse adds but cant save to wish list as no account. (obviously)

Can place an add giving my personal details it seems but if I do this will this generate an account for me.

Is there any history of buyers and sellers transactions to browse over like on the great Adverts.ie

    Would you recommend this site!!

I use DD almost every day to browse and occasionally to buy. I have a couple of e-mail alerts set up for things I need.

There are a few awkward aspects about the site but like many others it is evolving, just not very quickly.

One gripe I have about DD and Adverts ie is that I would like to set which counties I search as opposed to single ones or the Provincial selection that is currently available. For example I travel down to Wexford from Mayo. I would like to search for ... say stoves for sale in the counties on my route down.

This is more important now when you consider postal and fuel costs.

As far as I know there is no buyer/seller ratings as in e-bay or advert ie but this would bring in additional costs for the owners and pay be passed on to the cost of the adverts.

I have never had a problem with the site itself so would say it is as trustworthy as others. Its the advertisers that are the pain - I have a few negative stories about that!! but also a couple of positives.

Use it in conjunction with others as you may find different prices for the same Ad.

The sign-up / register is on the same page as log-in ( on my pc anyway )

Just had my first encounter with a customer, phone call from private number which I missed and a msg was left with a number for me to ring back.

Arrangements made with customer who sounded decent enough on the phone to view item I had for sale. This was later postponed for a day or two at customers request, and then the final result was a no show, and not even a text or call to say no longer interested.

Being able to leave feedback good or positive, like adverts/ebay I think is crucial especially in these times of recession.

Not impressed with my first encounter via DD.

How does leaving feedback on a buyer assist anyone, unless he is also an advertiser?
