    Hey guys,

Need some advice form you experience sellers please.

I placed an ebay auction for a synthesizer (worth about 400 euro). I'd been repeatedly contacted by a UK buyer who wanted me to sell it to him, out of the auction (which I refused). When it didn't sell the first time around, he contacted me again and asked my to sell it for way under his original offer. So I refused and blocked him.

Anyway, I relished my item and had a few bidders all was going very well…But then I noticed a 'new' bidder who was out bidding everyone (with zero feedback of course). In fact, the synth went way over what I was looking for. It just didn't feel right at all, so I pulled the auction at the last minute. I'm thinking that it may be that person that I blocked or a dodgey buyer.

Anyway, I'd like to realist it. I have the buyers setting set to 'must have paypal account', etc. But is there anyway I can stop zero feedback bidders on my items? I think you used to be able to.

And if not, can I just cancel their bid and block them?? Assuming, I stipulate that a bidder must have at least 5 positive feedback to bid on the item in the first place? What are ebay's thoughts on this type of action?

Anyway, sorry for the rather long post, and thanks in advance! :)

    Cheers!

Its all under buyer requirements :
You can block buyers from bidding on or purchasing your items by specifying buyer requirements. You can block buyers who:
    Don't have a PayPal account
Have unpaid items recorded on their account
Have a primary delivery address in countries you don’t post to
    Have breached eBay policies
Have a Feedback score lower than the number you specify
Are currently winning or have bought 1-100 of your items in the last 10 days (you can specify the number)
You can also block buyers based on their user ID by creating a blocked list.

    ditto

another option for you would be to put the item up as a fixed price that you'd be happy with and allow people to make you a reasonable offer, that way the guy cant hijack your auction.

not sure there is anything you can do about this dude other than reporting him to ebay and setting up stringent rules in your listing.

ebay dont like people trying to arrange deals outside the site so they would be on your side from the off.

    best of luck

    Cheers guys, :)

However, I've got my buyer preferences already set, but I couldn't find a way to set the 'minimum feedback' for a buyer. Have they changed it or something??

    Thanks again!

If you can't find it also include on the description of the item that buyer must have 5 oe more feedback

    Thanks Nava, :)

However, can a buyer do anything like contest you action after canceling his bid or anything like that? Or will ebay be cool about it, once you've stated that in the auction requirements?

Thanks again and sorry for the noob questions!
