I backed andalieb in the race and Martin lane was due to ride for david simcock
As I was waiting for the race to start I checked the racing post app and found out that William Buick was taking the ride now as his horse was taking out of the race.it also said he was putting up 12 pound overweight which I found ridiculous.
Martin lane isn't even a amateur and this just didn't make sense to me putting a extra 12 on your horse
I felt my horse had 0 chance as soon as I saw this
Horse was well beaten about 11 lengths
Anyone have any explanation as to why the jockey change

Not sure about the reason for the change but I'd be amazed if he was 12 pounds over, that sounds like a mistake to me, 2 pounds maybe.

His original ride was suppose to be 9-2
And andalieb was to be 8-5 so that would be 13 pound difference

racingpost and sportinglife have Buick carrying 1lb overweight.

RP says he was down to carry 8-5 under Martin Lane. Results section says it carried 8-6 under Buick

    1) difference between 8-5 and 9-2 is 11lbs.
    2) jockeys dont always weigh the weight carried by the horse. Most would carry some lead.

Im not sure what you are driving at, but that might help.

Buick was due to carry 9-2
    Buick's horse was withdrawn
Buick transfers to horse due to carry 8-5
A horse due to carry 11lbs less
Buick cant do 8-5 but does 8-6
    Buick carries 1lb overweight

Not sure otherwise, but its not that Andaleb carried 11lbs overweight.
Or his original ride would not carry 12lbs overweight, he would have carried W Buick's 8-6 + 8lbs of lead.
