What do you put in your hay barn?

Very topical at the moment with the lack of hay out there. My father converted our 3 span Haybarn into a very handy tool/machineryshed 5 years ago. Poured a world of ready mix into it. Now i use one span for calves. How many of you here still use hay barns for storing hay?
A man down the road from me had a huge stack of round bales of hay out in the open this year and a five span hay barn beside it full of machinery.
Hay barns absolutely essential during the small square bale era up till the 90's.
    Gas the way things change.

A camper van, a corner full of scaffolding, 2 round bales of hay, a few calf drinkers, a pair of wrought iron gates, the remains of a fitted kitchen, a Stanley Super 80, which could find its self reinstalled soon enough and about 8 tons of firewood.

Granted this year with no silage cut it might be off use! too much hassle though; waiting to get it dry and baled, in to the shed then out of the shed as it's heating but it's going to rain so getting it back in again...Hassle.
The auld buck just loves making Hay!

One has About 40 round bales of barley straw, about 20 square bales of hay( always like to have a few round for handiness ) and then just general stuff that is probably half rubbish. Our other barn which was a covered silage slab is a machinery store as of the spring gone bye.

    Hi Lads,

Hope you don't mind me cutting in like this.

I'm looking for a barn to rent over the winter, ideally Co. Dublin, any advice on where to ask or who to contact?

    Many Thanks

    Kevin
