Only the Clare v Limerick hurling qualifer at 7pm is on TV today

The GAA TV deal which began lst year must be the most retarded thing ever. They show reams of provinical quarter finals (and previous) in provincial championships, these arent even proper knock out, then along comes the qualifiers and the coverage almost stops. 2 full rounds of do or die football qualifiers will have been played by this weekend - 16 games with a grand total of zero shown live. In hurling there will have been 4 rounds of do or die qualifiers will been played by this weekend - 8 games and 2 shown live.

Way to fukking promote the sport guys, in a summer jammed with Euro 2012 and the Olympics as well as the usual suspects of Golf and Tennis its especially retarded. Plenty of games of interest which could be shown. FFS the cameras are at Semple Stadium anyway for the 7pm game why not just show the other 2 games there as well, would have been a great day of GAA TV action with plenty of updates from the other games too.

Of course they say this is all to stop attendances dropping, all the while ignoring the crazy ticket prices and stupid arranging of fixtures as far bigger reasons for low attendances than TV coverage. TV coverage boosts attendances in the long term anyway

Its mad the a UK tv company premier sportsuk, are showing all three matches from semple today. Its crazy that we cant even watch our national sports without forking out a subscription to a uk company. crazyness.

I just signed up for the rest of the summer, £7.99 a month. No commentary for the first Wexford game, just a video feed, I assume it will be the same for the Wexford vs. Cork hurling game
