    Hi,

I got back from a week's holidays yesterday. I'm back to work on Monday.
Had a good time, not the best hol of my life but I enjoyed the break and what I did, the company etc.
the problem is that from yesterday morning i've been down. I've just hit rock bottom. I'm tired which is fine because I had a busy time. It's not just tiredness though. I'm teary and upset, and the thought of going back to work fills me with dread even though I love my job. i feel empty and lost and depressed.

in a way I know its a silly way to be, a should be counting myself lucky that I got a break etc but I just can't lift myself.

Yes it is an anticlimax coming home from a Holiday.. but you're lucky to have the whole weekend to come to terms with it..

I've come home from Holidays before on a Sunday and had to go to work the next day.. with delayed flights to boot

It is a horrible feeling but it's only temporary.. I think it's part and parcel of going on a Holiday.. you're never going to be totally over the moon to come back to normality..

Sorry to sound insensitive, but I think you need to just suck it up :o the first few hours of work will be pretty crap, but once you get into the swing of things you'll be fine..

My Dad always maintains the existence of and can spot post holiday, can nearly time exactly when it'll kick in! Seeing as you still have the weekend, maybe try to think of it as still being on holidays-do something you'll enjoy? Maybe some nice food or takeaway, or change the bedclothes w/ a nice bath and fresh pjs and organising your photo's might perk you up and relax you for Monday? Might not be your thing but just a suggestion:)
