Men's pants are often available in leg 30" for sizes waist 30" and above but how come waist 28" only ever starts at leg length 32"?????

Okay, so there are the odd exceptions but more often than not this is usually the case

actually think its 30 * 28s, but its def worth a check. with a 28 waist should you not be looking in the teens department? no offence intended!

28 inch waist probably just means that, unlike most other Irish men, he hasn't got an enormous protruding belly.

This isn't about the waist size, it's about the leg length. I just don't understand why w28 start with leg length 32" when w30 starts with leg length 30"

You never see waist 35 either. I have one pair of w35 and they fit just perfectly, 34 and 36 are just dont fit as good at all.

Realise I sound a bit like Goldylocks

This only happens in Ireland and UK I find. I am waist size 29 usually so that's how this thread came about. On the continent waist sizes go up every inch as oppose to every two inches, it's so annoying.

I have this problem too. I usually end up having to get the trousers taken up but do find that 'proper' 28/30 are best fit overall as in proportion.

The one benefit of this size is that it's likely to be available in the sales!
