    Hi all,

Looking to bring some visitors tonight into town for food. Looking pub grub somewhere within walking distance of St Stephens green.

    Thinking around 6 or 7ish.

Anyone got any recommendations for somewhere that'll have good food, a bit of atmosphere but won't be packed to the mammary glands at that time?

    Ta. :)

Porterhouse at the bottom of Grafton Street is good for food and their own beer is very tasty too.

Bia Bar just beside Break for the Border is nice too, they usually have deals on.

I've heard the porterhouse is good but what's the chances of getting somewhere to sit in it at that time on a Friday?

The Market Bar on Fade St does decent grub. Big place so plenty of room.

You can call ahead and book a table/area, but it might be packed at that time (just saw it there). No harm in ringing.

Just remembered Harrys on the Green might be a good place to go too.

Or the Morket Boooor as I call it! Nothing against the place, it's quite nice. Just the OP is looking for a bit of atmosphere and even though it's spacious it's never that lively.

+1 for the market bar, I also like the Bank on College green and Sinnotts at Stephens green.

Yup, but it's very nice...if a little on the "boring" side. Just the layout of the place.
