Can anyone tell me if these are a good company to buy laptops from?

We bought a laptop from Komplett earlier this year and had numerous problems. So, I want to make sure we don't end up back in the same situation.

Because SaveOnLaptops are UK based, are our statutory rights intact?

Will our warranty be completely valid?

Is accessing their customer care difficult from Ireland?

Has anyone got good or bad stories about them?

    Thanks for any help

I couldn't order from their site yesterday, unfortunately frown.gif

I looked up some reviews, I'll attach a link, they seem to be quite good in general but if you run into trouble their customer service is not up to scratch (this is purely based on my interpretation on their reviews - I have not had any first hand experience of this so I'm sure someone else might be able to post better advice on this)

I ordered my laptop (Samsung Q430) from them a year ago - price was v good and I haven't had any problems with it thankfully so I don't know what their customer service is like. There weren't any delays with shipping or anything, it didn't arrive super quick but probably more to the end of their shipping-time estimate. That's about the limits of my experience with them really!

I ordered a laptop from them back in March, haven't had any trouble at all with it (so far), delivery was quick and the laptop was well packaged.

Be weary when ordering, to make sure your not buying a display unit or something, they sell these but will only have one available at a cut price, but a guy told me his was damaged so best to buy a brand new one. (They will have it listed in the ad that it's a refurb or display unit)

I had to ring them before ordering some problem with paypal or something, but got it sorted quick enough... I cant comment on their customer service for after sale as I didn't have to deal with them...

I bought a laptop from this crowd last year, HP dv7-6052ea, still rock solid.

I do remember them trying to bump up the price after I bought it on the website. There was a delay and then i got a phonecall saying they had website difficulties, and the price was actually £100 more that stated on the site. It was a bargain at the website price I have to admit, but i frankly told them that i'd take the original price or cancel the order. They didnt want to lose the £900 odd quid so they sold it to be at the original price.

Small glitch but I would buy from them again.

I chose them because when i bought the laptop it had just been listed on their website, I think they sell the first few off at bargain prices then raise the price when demand pipes up. I did have a look around and they were beating the amazon price by about £150 at the time.

Just make sure you do a price comparison on what ever you choose, froogle.co.uk is a goods start
