Ruined a wheel in a pothole, got a set of alloys from a breakers yard, gonna use the best one. Looks like 2 of the tyres are decent enough with about 4 or 5mm of thread so I can get some use out of those.

However they are 225 50 17 whereas the tyres on the car are 225 45 17, given I have a pair of the former can I used them and if so would be better to have them on the front or back?

    Thanks for looking

If your Laguna has tyre pressure sensors (I think they all do) then you will have to bring it to Renault Dealer to get the sensors set to the wheel. You have to do this even if you just rotate the wheels. So for instance if you replace one of the front wheels with a back one then you will have to get that done. About 40 quid a corner if I remember when I had my Laguna.
Either that or just put up with the warning lights :)

Thanks for the replies, my current set of tyres don't have sensors so I think I should be ok.
