Amp trouble

so i got this amp..its for a car audio. the person i got it off wired the power arseways i.e. put the pos wire to the neg and vice versa, now the amp wont power up. ive opened it up and poked around to try to find and replace whatever blew but no luck. any tips on what is most likely gone or how to find the broken parts?
