    Hi all,

Haven't been doing as much on the bike recently due to illness, but getting to the point now where I'm gonna start back slowly.

Just wondering, as a general rule, what kind of fitness loss I'm looking at after a hiatus of 3-4 weeks?

    Thanks

Don't worry about it. Seriously just enjoy getting back out there. It's not a job. It's fun. I've also been sick for a week and was having the same rogue thoughts. When you reflect in the cold light of day, it's the wrong way to think about it.

Not a lot really. Whatever you do loss you'll get back quickly.

Not a lot. You'll be surprised who quickly your calloused ass has disappeared and how sore you feel after just an hour or two on the bike.
But if you've been getting out at all in the last 3-4 weeks, even for a twenty minute spin, you'll find little or no loss in fitness.

If you've been totally off the bike, you might find yourself a little taxed by your first spin and dying on hills which are usually no problem. But you'll be grand by the second spin.
