Just to keep you up to date Martyn is racing in a 6 day in Italy at the moment . The results/website is here http://www.6giornidellerose.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=118:americana-1a-serata But it is in Italian ! He seems well up on GC though.

He should be wrapped up in cotton wool somewhere, not risking life and limb in one of those crazy events less than 4 weeks before the most important race(s) of his life:D

Seriously though, it's got to be a fine balance - avoid unnecessary risks while maintaining sharpness for the event itself. I just have a little shudder every time I see him out there racing ...

Had a good discussion with our/his coach andy sparks about it and the rationale is to get him lots of bunch racing on the track. His intermediate goal was the 25 champs nd he did a super job there so he is well on course for his medal winning performance in london;)
