    Hi

Saw this in my local xtravision for 49.99. I download movies etc and play them using a usb key and this is what got me interested in it first as md dvd player is on it's last legs.

I have at the moment sky digital.

What can these PVR do? Can I hook it into existing dish and watch different channels on another tv? Can I watch football channels from different countries??

Is it worth getting - I watch a lot of tv and movies.

Thanks in advance and sorry for being so clueless!!!

It isn't a satellite receiver, you will only get channels broadcast from terrestrial transmitters & in most of Ireland that means the Saorview channels only.

Just to field these. We got these in for testing at the start of the year when the TV Star lads starting to try and sell these in Ireland. I did a good bit of testing on thse and the media player to be fair was pretty much no worse/better than on most boxes.

But what I would say to you is that if you are considering buying this biox or any other receiver with media player features, solely for the purposes of watching your downloaded flicks, you would be MUCH better off buying a standalone media player for this purpose. It will support a far greater range of codecs and you'll ahve far less chance of seeing the 'codec not supported' message!

Ah - Thanks for that - didn't realise that.

Thanks - I would watch quite a bit of movies so may just get a blu ray dvd player for 90 quid.
