RTE Double Bills

    Does anyone know why RTE are showing double episodes of all the half decent shows on at the moment (ie. Blue Bloods, The Good Wife, Walking Dead)?

    What's the rush? Have they got a whole bunch of other stuff lined up so just getting these out of the way?

    I'm a big fan of multi-espisode-mini-marathons on boxsets but the ads really drag out a double bill on TV

    Well Revenge has 22 episodes in the first season so will take 11 weeks to get though the first season. I think it is better having double bills.
    Otherwise it would take way too long to get though it and people would get bored waiting for the next episode.

    They have to get through the good stuff so we can have more home produced crap in the autumn.

    The double bills will stop for the two weeks of the Olympics anyway.

    Normal programmes won't start until about 10.30pm.

    In the US the first episode was broadcast on September 21, 2011.
    The final episode was broadcast 35 weeks later on May 23, 2012.

    That is because they have breaks in October, December February and March in America.
